WebToPDF turns content selected from the active webpage into a PDF and optionally answers a small number of questions about that PDF. The extension accesses a page only after you open the extension or explicitly start manual selection.

Use your own judgment

Do not submit personal, confidential, or otherwise sensitive information unless you are comfortable sending it to Staply.App and its AI processing providers. You are responsible for reviewing the webpage content and questions before submitting them.

Data handled

Selected webpage content: title, source URL, readable text, images, tables, links, and limited visual formatting needed to create the requested PDF.
Quick-chat data: document text, your question, and up to two recent question-and-answer pairs needed for follow-up answers.
Local settings: a random device identifier used for abuse prevention and service limits, page orientation, and temporary text for the current result tab.
Account data: WebToPDF does not request your account credentials. Authentication after choosing Staply.App is handled by Staply.App.

Use and sharing

Selected content is transmitted over HTTPS to Staply.App only to generate the PDF. When you submit a quick question, the relevant document text and conversation are sent to Staply.App and to its AI inference provider, OpenRouter and the model provider selected through OpenRouter, solely to generate your requested answer.

WebToPDF does not sell personal data, build advertising profiles, collect browsing history, or access pages in the background. Human access to user content is not allowed except with your explicit support request, for security and abuse investigation, or where required by law.

Storage and retention

The random device identifier and page-orientation preference remain in Chrome local storage until the extension is removed or its data is cleared. Extracted document text is kept in Chrome session storage and is removed when the browser session ends.

Generated PDF files are temporary and are deleted from Staply.App processing storage within 24 hours unless you explicitly continue to Staply.App and save a copy under your account. Quick-chat content is processed for the request and is not automatically added to a Staply.App collection or chat history. Infrastructure and AI providers may retain limited operational and security logs under their applicable policies.

Your choices and deletion

Removing the extension or clearing its data removes locally stored extension data. Temporary server files expire automatically. If you save content to a Staply.App account, you can delete it in the app or request account deletion at privacy@staply.app.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. User data is used only to provide or improve WebToPDF's disclosed, user-facing functionality.
